Observations

Well, I have been a bit negligent lately and it isn't so much that I haven't wanted to come and write, I simply didn't hae the energy. Work is fine. Sitting in front of a computer all day, however, gives me eye-strain. Now that I have an anti-glare screen, life is much easier. And my adjustment to daylight hours is gradual. For the most part I am really happy with my work. I find it interesting (for themost part) because we are talking to parents regarding their satisfaction with the current education system. The anonymity lends an air of brutal honesty that I would never be privy to otherwise. People are amazing, and not always in a good way. If I thought that walking down the street gave me a glimpse into the wondows of people's lives, that they were little slices of life that I could lift and spin into talks that could whisper to myself late at night, then working in a telephone research office is the soundtrack or audiostream of those stories. Kids screaming in the background, parents tense with complaint or worry, office people who are so lackdaisical while working that they don't hae an inkling of what they are telling me. The office atmosphere where I work is a bit tense around me because I walked into a coveted full-time day job while others have been stuck on nights for months and even years, in some cases. On top of that I have already begun training for other, more interesting jobs within the company. eru good for me. Not so good in building office relationships. That's ok, seems like I am a bit chummy with the supervisors and the others in the higher echilons of the company. Not terrible, really.

Have been writing again, poetry mostly, easier to do during the short breaks. In the meantime, I found some food for thought. Enjoy these observations. I was considering developing each into some sembalance of creative writing. We shall see. But I am ehausted and must rise early for work...again. Ont he upside, its not only Friday but it's also PAYDAY!!!!! Yay.

Living on Earth is expensive, but it does include a free annual trip around the sun.

Birthdays are good for you: the more you have the longer you live.

How long a minute is depends on what side of the bathroom door you're on.

Ever noticed that the people who are late are often so much jollier than the people who have to wait for them?

If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

Most of us go to our grave with our music still inside of us.

If Wal-Mart is lowering prices every day, how come nothing is free yet?

You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened.

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors...but they all have to learn to live in the same box.

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.

A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open.
