xeryfyn's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Easter So Easter Sunday was a fun time despite the fact that bth kids are sick as dogs, runny noses dripping like taps and hacking coughs rattling around in their lungs. I hid all the plastic eggs around the house on Saturday night and Julia woke up around 7am on Sunday. She tried to go downstairs to look for the cats since we were still in bed and Dwayne hurriedly rounded her up before she saw the Easter bounty in all its chocolately goodness lying around on the floor. I tried to explain the concept of the hunt to her while I was dressing her and she was a bit wary of the idea that anyone had come into the house at all, but once we went down together and she began her hunt, boy was she into it: Wow, mom, look at this! Look at all the eggses!" She hunted all over the main floor and basement, marvelling anew with each found treasure and was so excited that her basket was getting filled up with plastic eggs. She came upstairs, counted out the eggs on the table, arranging them just so as is her custom, and then proceeded to very seriously tell her assorted bunnies about the hunt that had just take place. She then slumped into a chair to veg out for a bit with the fluffy bunny Grandma M sent, a bit feverish and a lot worn out from the egg-citing hunt.
When Elena came down later, I put an egg trail for her to follow and she was terribly impressed that she got to pick them up and drool all over them. She was less interested in the finding of the eggs but still liked to participate.
