Christmas Ev e

So, now the news has broken to everyone

I can think that I wanted to tell...I think.

Never quite sure who the rumour mills circulate to these days. Ah well now that both sets of parents know, all should be alright in the end. We have pretty much finalized the townhouse deal and we are just waiting on the nail-biting OK from the mortgage broker we talked to on Monday night. It was frightening to see our debts all laid out on teh tables like that, to see how much deeper we would be digger ourselves and where it was all headed in the end. But in this case, there is no doubt whatsoever that the ends justifies the means. Thinking about our townhouse (yes, it is already ours in my head) and the family that will grow there. The potentials and the things that we have to look forward to doing right away...Its enough to make a girl's head spin. Well more so than it already is.

Outside the door, there is the annual Christmas Eve gathering and hoards of relatives crowded into the small-ish living room, making merry, smoking like chimneys and watching the kiddies race around like mad folk. It is Christmas as I have come to expect. Next year there will be two more small squirming bundles (we have heard of one more 2004 monkey in the family) and the noise will undoubtable increase exponentially.

I should be headed out to be social rather than try to get caught up on Holidalies, and besides, there are pickles in the fridge calling my name.
